Personal Data:Personal information (like your name and email address) that provide to us when using our Application, such as sharing usernames, receiving payments, making payments. If you choose to share data about yourself via your profile, or other interactive areas of the Application, please be advised that all data you disclose in these areas is public and your data will be accessible to anyone who is your friend or on your contact list on the Application.

Derived Data:This is information collected automatically by our database when you access our App, eg. phone contact list to determine friends that already use the Application, but we do not store Contact Information on our servers.

Financial Data:Any data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit/debit card number, card brand, OTP code, expiration date) that we may collect when you fund your Africash wallet on our app. We do store Bank Account Numbers, However, due to security reasons, we do not store card details. users can access their financial history information which is stored by our app.

Mobile Device Data:Mobile devices have characteristic information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, etc. these are usually optional, but may be required on rare occasions.

Mobile Device Access:We may occasionally request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s [camera, contacts, storage,] and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

Push Notifications:Push notifications regarding your account or the Application may be sent occasionally. opt-out option is provided if you don’t want to receive these types of messages, you may also turn off in your device’s settings

We need accurate information about you, so as to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:

Information From Underage/children:The Services are not accessible to children under the age of 18 & below. Personal information from a child under the age of 18 is prohibited, we will promptly delete it, unless we are legally obligated to retain such data.

If Africash learns of a systems security breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using the Services, you agree that Africash may communicate with you electronically. Africash may post a notice on the website or mobile application if a security breach occurs. An email is sent to the email address you have provided to us, where you receive notice of a security breach in writing. HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHIN THE AFRICASH NETWORK

To process payments on Africash, we need to share some of your personal information with the person or company that you are paying or is paying you. Your contact information, date of sign-up, the number of payments you have received and other verification metrics like social graph activity may be provided to users or companies when you transact with, on, or through Africash.

We work with vendors to enable them to accept payments from you using Africash. In doing so, a vendor may share information about you with us, such as your mobile phone number or Africash username, when you attempt to pay that vendor. We use this information to confirm to that vendor that you are a Africash customer and that the vendor should enable Africash as a form of payment for your purchase.

Regardless, we will not disclose your credit card number or bank account number to anyone you have paid or who has paid you through Africash, except with your express permission or if we are required to do so to comply with a subpoena or other legal process.

HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHIN THE AFRICASH NETWORK

Africash does not share your personal information with third parties for their promotional or marketing purposes.

Some personal information is public information and may be seen by anyone on the internet, whether or not they have a Africash account. Public information may also be seen, accessed, reshared or downloaded through Africash's APIs or third-party services that integrate with our products.

Public information for personal profiles includes your Africash username, profile photo, first and last name, month and year of Africash account creation, and public transactions in which you've been involved.
Public information for business profiles includes Africash username, profile and background photos, business name, business description, and QR code. Public information for business profiles may be indexed by and searchable on search engines.

In addition to any public information, your Africash friends list may be seen by any logged-in Africash user; you may adjust or turn off this setting in the privacy section in your account settings.

We may share your personal information with:

Our parent company, Brighly, Nig. ltd, affiliates and subsidiaries, but only within limits allowed by this document.
Companies that Brighly, Nig. ltd, get merged with / acquired by, or should in case of any bankruptcy. Should any such, or a combination of all occur, the new entity formed must abide with this privacy policy with respect to your personal information. In event of your personal information being used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice and the opportunity to communicate preferences you may have, if applicable.
Law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties if Brighly Nig.ltd is compelled to do so by a subpoena, court order or similar legal procedure, when it is necessary to do so and to comply with standard laws, or in a case where the disclosure of personal information is very necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activities, or to investigate violations of the Africash User Agreement.

The other Africash user participating in the transaction and, depending on the privacy setting of each Africash account transaction, your Africash friends and the Africash friends of the other user participating in the transaction, or the public, through the Africash feed on our website and mobile application and elsewhere on the internet.
Contracted third party service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations such as fraud prevention, payment processing, or technology services). Our contracts require that these service providers only use your information in connection with the services performed for us and not for their own use.

Re-organization:If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we may transfer your information to the successor entity. If we go out of business, your information would be an asset transferred by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may commitments made in this Privacy Policy may not be binding in the new agreement.

Third-Party Websites :The App may contain links to other websites and item of interest, this includes advertisements and services, that are not connected with us.
